Handbuild your own Butter Dish or Salt Pig - Monday 1st Feb 2027 6pm

A creative experience to gift or enjoy yourself!

Whether you’re looking for a Christmas gift, celebrating someone special, or simply fancy giving yourself a creative treat, this relaxed ceramic hand build workshop is a chance to slow down, try something new and enjoy the satisfaction of making something by hand.

Not sure which to choose? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! On the night, you can choose whether you’d like to create a characterful salt pig or a beautiful butter dish, so there’s no need to decide in advance. Simply choose the project that takes your fancy when you arrive.

You’ll be guided step by step through the process of hand-building with clay, learning simple techniques to shape, join and refine your piece. No previous pottery experience is needed, just a little imagination and a willingness to get creative.

Once you’ve chosen your project, you can really make it your own. Keep your design beautifully simple, create a fun character, add stamped patterns, textures or lettering, or experiment with your own ideas. Every piece will be completely unique.

Once your piece has dried and been bisque fired, you can choose how you’d like to finish it:

• Choose one of our colourful glazes and we’ll glaze and fire your piece for you.
  
  
• Return for a painting session and decorate it yourself, choosing your own colours, patterns and details.
  
  

You’ll finish with a one-of-a-kind piece of handmade pottery — practical, personal and made entirely by you.
