Unguided Wheel Time

Unguided Pottery Wheel Sessions

Enjoy some independent time on the pottery wheel to practise, experiment and develop your throwing skills at your own pace.

Cost: £15 per hour

Includes:

•             use of a pottery wheel for 45 minutes

•             unlimited studio clay

•             use of pottery tools and equipment

•             use of an apron

You are welcome to use the time to practise your throwing, make pieces for yourself, or simply enjoy getting creative with clay.

This is unguided studio time and is suitable for guests who have used a pottery wheel before or have attended our Beginners' Pottery Wheel Experience. There will be no tutor available to provide guidance or assistance during your session. Complete beginners or those who have not attended one of our classes will need to attend a studio induction session prior to being able to book, if this is the case then please email for the next available studio induction date.

At the end of your booking, your wheel and workspace must be thoroughly cleaned and left as you found them.

Firing Your Pottery

Firing is not included in the studio session price and is charged separately. Bisque firing starts from £8.50 per piece, with the final price depending on the size of the item. 

If you would like us to fire any of your pieces, payment for firing must be made at the end of your session.

To help us identify your pottery, all pieces being left for firing must be clearly marked with your initials or makers mark. You will also need to take photographs of your pieces, including a clear photo showing your marks. These photographs will be used to identify your pottery when you return to collect it.
